Breaking News: 19, June 2020 - Latest Kenya Covid-19 Cases and Updates

Friday 19th June 2020, 117 positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported, from 3,043 samples tested in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of cases to 4374.

 

Of the total 117 cases reported today, 112 are Kenyans, 5 are foreigners.

 

Age ranges from 11 years to 75 years with 83 males &  54 are females.

 

Distribution of the 117 cases is as follows:

 

Nairobi has 51 cases from; Kibra 8, Langata 8, Makadara 6, Dagoretti North 6, Kamukunji 4, Embakasi East 4, Embakasi North 3, Embakasi South 3, Mathare 2, Ruaraka 2, Embakasi Central 2, Embakasi West 1, Starehe 1, Kasarani 1

 

Mombasa has 22 cases from; Mvita 8, Kisauni 5, Changamwe 4, Likoni 3, Jomvu 1, Nyali 1

 

Kiambu has 6 cases from; Thika: 3, Kiambu Town: 1, Limuru: 1, Lari: 1

 

Machakos 3 cases Athi River: 3

 

Kericho 2 cases Ainamoi: 2

 

Busia 2 cases Teso North: 1, Matayos: 1

 

Uasin Gishu 2 cases Kapseret: 1, Soy: 1

 

Wajir 1 case Wajir West: 1Machakos 3 cases, Athi River: 3

 

Nakuru 5; Naivasha: 5

 

Garissa 5 cases, Daadab: 5

 

Kajiado has 18 cases from; Loitokitok: 12, Kajiado Central: 2, Kajiado East: 2, Kajiado North: 1, Kajiado West: 1

 

91 patients have been discharged from various hospitals, bringing the total recoveries to 1,550.

 

Two patients succumbed to the virus, bringing the total fatalities to 119.

 

Aman said there is a worrying rise in the number of cases in suburbs including Westlands, Hurlingham, Lavington and Kileleshwa.

 

He said there have been instances of youths holding parties, thus raising the risk of spreading the virus.
