Azimio La Umoja Is Paying Luhya MPs to Disown and Embarrass Musalia Mudavadi, Didmus Barasa

Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has sensationally claimed a section of Luhya politicians are being bribed to ditch Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi. 

The first-time legislator said Azimio La Umoja proponents were paying politicians to a tune of KSh 20 million to disown and dissociate with Mudavadi following his decision to support Deputy President William Ruto. 

"We are aware some have asked up to Ksh 20 million to decamp and attack our leaders. In fact on Saturday, a governor who has misappropriated county cash is defecting to that thing called Azimio, which is just ODM in different colours," he stated on Tuesday, January 25. 

According to Barasa, some Luhya leaders were being sponsored to form briefcase parties in order to weaken Mudavadi and Ford Kenya party boss Moses Wetang'ula.

"In fact on Saturday, a governor who has misappropriated county cash is defecting to that thing called Azimio, which is just ODM in different colours. Democracy is having the right to choose," he added.
