Musalia Mudavadi Frustrating Efforts to Bring Presidency Home, George Khaniri Says as He Shifts to Azimio
The political ambience in Vihiga county has moved to another level following Amani National Congress(ANC) move to Deputy President William Ruto’s camp.
Vihiga senator George Khaniri, elected on ANC ticket, has recently moved to Azimio la Umoja, claiming that the region had fought for the opportunity in government, but Mudavadi’s move to UDA is meant to spoil the fruits that are yet to be reaped.
“We have had a long tiresome battle pulling the presidency towards Western Kenya and the time is now but Mudavadi and Wetangula have decided to be a let-down, shifting us to another fresh struggle that we are not sure of,” Khaniri said.
Addressing congregants at Kidinye Friends church in Central Maragoli ward, Vihiga county, Khaniri said that Raila Odinga was the only leader who could help Luhya leaders clinch presidency after him.
"I respect and love my party leader but I defy his move. I pray and wish him well in his journey," he added.
He declared that his heart, soul, flesh and blood were in Azimio la Umoja as he asked his supporters to join him in the jig.
