OKA Says It's Open to Working With Like-Minded Parties:

The One Kenya Alliance (OKA) luminaries have realised a partnership pact ahead of the August 9 presidential election.

The coalition brings together Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Wiper party's Kalonzo Musyoka and KANU's Gideon Moi and Cyrus Jirongo.

Addressing a presser on Wednesday, February 2, after holding a private meeting, the quartet affirmed having formalised the formation for purposes of the oncoming elections.

They informed that their next stop would be at the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP), where OKA will be officially ratified as a coalition.

"We have formalised on the OKA coalition agreement and will on February 28, 2022, officially deposit it at the Office of Registrar of Political Parties as OKA coalition. We are open to honest and open engagements with other formations that share our ideologies," read KANU party leader and Baringo senator Gideon Moi.

The leaders did not rule out the possibility of teaming up with the Azimio la Umoja Movement stewarded by ODM leader Raila Odinga.
