Kenya Kwanza Coalition Parties Working On Pre-Election Pact, Deal to Be Revealed to Kenyans Soon

The individual Kenya Kwanza Alliance parties are pursuing a pre-election deal six months before the August 9 presidential election, this publication has learnt.

The coalition brings together United Democratic Alliance (UDA) led by Deputy President William Ruto, Amani National Congress (ANC) under Musalia Mudavdi and Ford Kenya stewarded by Bungoma senator Moses Wetang'ula.

The three parties joined forces on January 23 during the ANC National Delegates Convention (NDC), in which Mudavadi was okayed to fly ANC's ticket in the upcoming presidential race.

The outfits have, however, been adamant in sharing with the public the content of their January agreement.

In recent days, the nature of the deal binding the parties has been a concern to politically curious Kenyans, who happened to wonder how the coalition's objective would be actualised, keeping in mind that each principal had been approved by their respective parties to vie for the presidency.
