Politicians have always strived to capitalise on social media to advance their agenda to the electorate.

For that reason, the political class has had to invest in the top echelon of media practitioners who are capable of converting the political fortunes in favour of their masters.

TUKO.co.ke explored some of the renowned journalists who transitioned from the mainstream front to preside over the politicians' communications departments.

1. Hussein Mohamed

On Monday, January 24, Hussein joined Deputy President William Ruto's camp as the Presidential Campaigns' Head of Communications.
