DP Ruto Set For Kiambu, Kalonzo To Tour Mwingi As Raila Receives ANC Defectors

Deputy President William Ruto will on Thursday tour Kiambu County as he drums up support for his self-styled hustler nation movement ahead of the August general elections.

The DP will kickstart his day’s itinerary by pitching camp at Uthiru Gichagi in Kabete constituency along the Waiyaki Way at around 10am.

He will then proceed to Kikuyu Constituency from 11am where he will commission Mama Ngina Primary and HGM Secondary before staging concurrent rallies at Kinoo shopping centre and Zambezi until noon.

DP Ruto will then visit Kiambaa/Mùguga market in Kabete at around 1pm after which he will head to Limuru constituency where he will hold stopovers at Kabuku centre and Ngecha shopping centre up to 3pm.

Thereafter, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party leader will return to Kabete where he will hold camps at Wangigi town before wrapping up his day with a final rally at Kikuyu town in the same constituency.

Raila Odinga will on his part receive politicians from the Musalia Mudavadi-led Amani National Congress (ANC) party who will be defecting to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

According to a statement to newsrooms, the politicians are mainly from Kakamega County, and will be received at Chungwa House at 12pm.

Meanwhile, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka will be traversing Kitui County where he is expected to hold a major rally at the Kitui Stadium.

The former vice president will be in the company of businessman Jimi Wanjigi who is also eyeing the country's top seat.
