19. Reuben Kigame: It's Inhuman to Campaign and Remain Silent on Yala Killings

Twenty twenty-two presidential candidate Reuben Kigame has criticised political leaders for remaining silent over dead bodies found in River Yala.

During a visit to Blessed Vocational and Rehabilitation Centre for People with Disability, where he donated foodstuff and other essentials, Kigame called out politicians for being silent on the matter.

He accused the leaders of being inhuman by treating the issue as a regular occurrence despite the comprehensive coverage by mainstream media and outpouring calls for action from Kenyans.

"My heart is in pain. Although the media is talking about the brutal killings, our leaders are still moving around looking for votes. They are not pained at all. They don't care, they are quiet. We are always making commissions of inquiry, declare a state of emergency but when parents lose their children or we lose our friends and brothers then nobody takes action," lamented Kigame.

The celebrated gospel musician and preacher further highlighted that Kenya had turned into an inhumane society where everybody cared about their self-interests

"We are quiet about it. Some of them are known. But what am saying is we have become an inhumane society," explained Kigame.

He warned that the country is heading the wrong path if Kenyans do not stop to care where the country is headed.
