Stay out of succession race, Mudavadi cautions security forces

Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has condemned security forces for meddling in political matters, especially on the forthcoming elections.

Speaking at Liberty Christian Centre in South B, Nairobi, yesterday, Mudavadi, urged security forces to stay out of succession race.

“We want the security instruments not to be obsessed with the succession battles. They should be concerned with guarantying the security of all Kenyans,” he said.

The ANC leader who was accompanied by Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, cautioned politicians against making inflammatory statements that threaten peace as the country gears towards the polls.

Mudavadi urged leaders to let authorities handle Meru Senator Mithika Linturi's matter on alleged incitement remarks he made during Deputy President William Ruto's rally in Eldoret on Saturday.
