Francis Atwoli Answers William Ruto over ‘Yule Mzee Wa Nyororo’ Remarks: “Hii ni Rosary”

Central Organisation for Trade Union (COTU) boss Francis Atwoli has responded to Deputy President William Ruto's remarks over his love for jewellery.

Atwoli said Ruto has been attacking his rosary, dismissing it as minyororo (chains), remarks the trade unionist said had dire consequences, among them failing to win in the 2022 presidential race.

He sensationally claimed that almost all bishops who used to follow Ruto to profit from his money had died; a development he claimed showed the deputy president was not a man of God.

"He is attacking me because of my rosary and yet almost eight bishops who wanted to extort money from him died. This means he is not a man of God," said Atwoli.

Atwoli divulged that he started carrying the rosary in 1962 when he was baptised at Enabga mission by Father John Kemba.

The trade unionist reiterated that his rosary is blessed and it is not just any other chain as claimed by Ruto.
