William Ruto Urges Ukambani People to Help Him Convince Kalonzo Musyoka Join UDA

Deputy President William Ruto has urged Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to join United Democratic Movement (UDA) ahead of the August general election.

Ruto told the former vice president that they can make a great team if he ( Kalonzo) would join his hustler nation.

According to the second in command, his hustler movement has a people-centred development agenda that will address various challenges facing Kenyans.

The DP claimed ODM leader Raila Odinga had taken advantage of Kalonzo in the past general elections, and it was time to change that.

“Kalonzo Musyoka and I have a lot in common. He is also tired with Raila, that's why we should team up to form the next government, please when you see him encourage him to join UDA," Ruto said.

The second in command said Raila's development track record was unclear despite serving in previous governments and in senior positions.

Speaking in Makueni county on Saturday, January 22, Ruto urged Ukambani residents to shun tribal political parties and join a national party.

“Do not accept to be divided into tribal political parties. Let's join a national political party that has the capacity to form the government and address challenges facing ordinary citizens," he added.

Ruto noted that he had teamed up with over 160 Members of Parliament with the objective of uniting Kenyans to confront the country’s challenges.
