Kenya: 1,550 Covid-19 Patients have Recovered So Far

As of Friday June 19, 2020, a total of 1,550 Covid-19 patients have so far been cured in the country according to the Ministry of Health.

"During last 24 hours, 91 Covid-19 patients were declared cured and discharged from various hospitals," Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman announced on Friday.

The good work being done by healthcare workers continues to bear fruit and is very much appreciated as they battle the contagion in the front lines.

The ministry also announced that 117 more Covid-19 cases were detected bringing national tally to 4,374. The cases were confirmed from a sample size of 3,043. 

Of the new cases,  83 were male and 54 female.

The total number of fatalities in the country rose to 119 after two more patients died overnight.
