Konza Technopolis Dev't Authority & Partners launch Covid-19 Contact Center

Today June 25, 2020 the Konza Technopolis Development Authority has launched a Covid-19 Contact center at the Nurses Complex at Kenyatta National Hospital.

KoTDA CEO Engineer John Tanui said that the Covid-19 Contact Centre is a platform for frontline health workers to access information, exchange best practices, training, psycho-social support and keep track of disease incidence amongst themselves.

It will also provide information to the public and be a one-stop shop for Covid-19 related queries.

The Contact Center is a partnership between KMA, KMPDU, Kenya Covid-19 Fund, Equity Bank Kenya, BCE system, Kenya Health Professionals Society, Kenya Psychiatric Association and other partners

Speaking during the launch, CS Mr Joe Mucheru said that his Ministry of ICT, through KoTDA, will provide technical support, reliable infrastructure and devices that will be linked to the National Data center located at Konza Technopolis.

KoTDA as a center of technology advancement is partnering with like-minded institutions to offer solutions that either help contain the spread of Covid-19 or empower the populace to tap opportunities created by the pandemic.

Recently, the authority held the Kenya Covid-19 innovation challenge in which creatives from across the country participated in developing solutions during this pandemic.

It's a war that we will win collectively.
