Mudavadi and Wetang'ula are Faces of High Voltage Corruption, Wycliffe Wangamati

Bungoma governor Wycliffe Wangamati has referred to Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetang'ula as faces of high voltage corruption.

Wangamati's remarks came barely a day after Wetang'ula hosted his new campaign partners in the ANC party and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in Bungoma town.

On Saturday, January 29, during former Rift Valley regional commissioner George Natembeya's homecoming ceremony at Kenyatta stadium in Kitale town, Wangamati said Mudavadi and Wetang'ula are prone to graft.

Wangamati accused Wetang'ula of using the Ford Kenya party for selfish reasons.

"Wetang'ula has been going round soliciting money from anyone who seeks a Ford Kenya party ticket. He demands for bribes from anyone wishing to get the party nomination certificate," Wangamati said.

According to him, these are why some of the Ford Kenya members bolted out of the party and joined the newly-formed Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) led by Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa.

"It is the same reason why we fell out with him because we were fed up with this kind of political conmanship", Wangamati elected on a Ford Kenya party ticket said.

Luhya leaders allied to Raila Odinga's Azimio La Umoja movement faulted Mudavadi and Wetang'ula for agreeing to work with Deputy President William Ruto's UDA party.
