Nairobi Gubernatorial Aspirant Agnes Kagure Stirs Excitement after Posing with Raila Odinga’s Campaign Boss

Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant, Agnes Kagure, has stirred up excitement and fuelled speculation after sharing a photo with the chair of Raila Odinga’s campaign board, Governor Nderitu Muriithi. 

Through her verified Facebook page, the business tycoon who has beefed up campaign activities for her Nairobi gubernatorial bid shared a photo with Governor Muriithi, a move that has elicited mixed reactions from netizens. 

“Governor Ndiritu Muriithi, Chair of Raila Odinga's 2022 Campaign Board, has good news for Nairobi residents. Guess the good news...” she posted. 

The post received a flurry of comments, with a majority suggesting Agnes Kagure is the preferred candidate to fly Azimio La Umoja’s ticket. 

If true, she would face-off against William Ruto’s led United Democratic Alliance (UDA) side that has Bishop Margaret Wanjiru and Johnstone Sakaja jostling to outdo each other.

Despite competition from other hopefuls in the Azimio side from controversial businessman Richard Ngatia and little-known governor Ann Kananu, Agnes Kagure exudes optimism to her bid given her unbeatable networks among youth and women groups across the county as well as her position as a dedicated students’ patron.
