Moses Kuria Says He Won't Defend His Gatundu South MP seat In August Elections
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has disclosed that he will not seek or defend any seat in the August 9, 2022, General Election.
Kuria affirmed that he would solely focus on building his Chama Cha Kazi party across the country to have a good number of leaders in the next government.
Speaking on Wednesday during an interview in Citizen TV, the vocal politician noted he was contented with the years he had served his people.
"I think I have served the people of Gatundu South for a solid nine years, and I’m proud of the job I have done there. As of now, my single focus is to build a strong party that is going to assure a lot of people who are currently not very assured." he said.
He also stated that he wanted to set an example by breaking the behaviour of political leaders who like sticking in power, saying that other people also want to be leaders.
" It is good to give other people a chance so that they can also do something different from what you did. That is why I have given someone else an opportunity," he added.
At the same time, he said that it is not mandatory for him to back any presidential aspirants at the August General Election.
