Embu Governor Wambora Declares Interest in Senate Seat:

Embu governor Martin Wambora has said he has much to offer to the people after his second term ends later in the year.

The Council of Governors (CoG) chairperson said he intends to run for Embu senatorial seat in the coming August 9 general election as that will offer him another opportunity to serve the public.

Speaking in Embu when he met grassroots leaders on Wednesday, February 16, the county boss claimed a section of county residents had implored him to go for the seat.

“I have meet with various Embu County grassroots leaders and I have heard from the electorate and and they have assured me of support in my senatorial bid as well growing Umoja na maendeleo party’s reach," he stated.

So far, Manyatta MP John Muchiri nominated Jubilee Party MP Cecily Mbarire and former area Senator Lenny Kivuti have indicated they would go for Wambora's seat.
