Herman Manyora Advises Raila to Pick Karua as Running Mate

Political analyst Herman Manyora has advised ODM party leader Raila Odinga to pick Martha Karua as his running mate in order to compel Deputy President William Ruto to settle on Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru to balance the gender equation. 

Manyora suggested Raila's choice of a running mate would greatly influence the decision Ruto would make in nominating his deputy. 

The University of Nairobi don urged Raila to settle on the NARC-Kenya party leader to form a pair of liberators that would face off with the Ruto-Waiguru pair, which he suggested is a union of anti-reformists. 

The analyst opined that once the battle lines are drawn, Kenyans will have to make an easy choice between the two formations.

"Raila should haste in nominating Karua as his running mate. This will force Ruto to pick Ann Waiguru. Let Kenyans choose between a liberation pair and the other one," argued Manyora.
