Nairobi County Majority Leader Loses 4 Family Members in Grisly Road Accident

Nairobi County Assembly majority leader Abdi Guyo has been thrown into mourning after losing four family members in a grisly road accident 

The four include his brother, sister in law and two of their children. One other child survived the accident which occurred along the Isiolo-Nanyuki highway.

In the Monday, March 28 tragedy, the family was en route to Isiolo from Nairobi when the vehicle they were travelling in lost control after a tyre burst and crashed. 

As the Muslim rules require, the deceased will be laid to rest tomorrow, Tuesday, March 29 at their home in Isiolo.

Their vehicle had seven occupants at the time of the accident. The injured child suffered a fracture and is recuperating at the same health facility. 

The accident comes days after the first-term Isiolo governor Mohammed Kuti withdrew from the race citing health complications.

Kuti announced he was quitting active politics to take care of his health, disclosing he had been unwell since last year.

As a result, the county boss endorsed Guyo to succeed him in the forthcoming August 9 General Election.
