Martha Karua Takes on Fan Who Dismissed Esther Passaris' Performance

A video has been circulating on social media showing a group of rowdy people heckling Nairobi woman representative Esther Passaris during her reelection campaigns. 

In the clip, the audience shouted the lawmaker down as she tried to address them demanding that she climbs down from her campaign vehicle. 

Reacting to the video, a Twitter user Mutuma Nkatana claimed that Passaris had spent her five-year term cat-walking instead of delivering services to the Nairobians. 

"After spending time catwalking in our streets demonstrating, the people are waiting for your answers," said Mutuma. 

However, in a rejoinder, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua told off the tweep insisting that Passaris alias Mama Taa, was one of the best performing parliamentarians.

Karua, who recently joined the Azimio La Umoja coalition, lauded her as a lawmaker who clearly understands her mandate. 

"Cat walking? EstherPassaris is one of the best-performing women reps with a clear understanding of her mandate," said Karua.
