William Ruto Accuses Raila of Using Devolution Funds in His Campaign:

Deputy President William Ruto has claimed Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga is insincere in his plan to fight corruption.

Addressing a rally at Orahey grounds during his tour of Wajir on Thursday, March 31, the DP rubbished Raila's plan to fight corruption, stating that he was the biggest beneficiary of it in Kenya.

Ruto alleged that the Orange Democratic Movement party leader was using proceeds of corruption to fund his presidential campaign.

“How will you fight corruption? You are the biggest beneficiary of corruption in Kenya and the money you are using in the campaign is stolen from Kenyans,” he said.

The second in command claimed that Raila had forced governors to use money meant for devolution to run his presidential campaign.

Ruto claimed that, unlike Raila, he had a plan on how to fight corruption if elected, stating that he would set up the Judiciary fund.

Ruto explained that his government would provide the public prosecutor's offices and director of criminal investigations with independent budgets to fight corruption.
