Junet Mohamed Recounts Hostile Reception in Uasin Gishu

Suna East member of parliament Junet Mohamed has narrated the ordeal they encountered in Uasin Gishu county.

Junet was among the leaders who had accompanied ODM chief Raila Odinga to the county to attend the burial of fallen tycoon Mzee Jackson Kibor.

Azimio La Umoja-allied politicians were however meted with violence as they boarded their chopper to leave.

Recounting the horrific moments, Junet implied that the violence meted out on them was an attempt on the life of the former prime minister and those who were in his company.

"None of us was hurt but it was a serious attempt on our lives for sure. One of the stones hit the windshield of the chopper where Raila Odinga was seated and we were all shaken. The pilot tried to lift the chopper but we he could not because stones were coming fast and furious. God saved our lives today," said Junet.
