DCI Confiscates Oscar Sudi, Caleb Kositany's Phones After Grilling

Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives have grilled MPs Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), Caleb Kositany (Soy) and Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker David Kiplagat over the violence meted on ODM leader Raila Odinga on Friday, April 1.

The detectives investigating the incident impounded phones belonging to the MPs and the speaker to help them unearth if they organised the stoning of Raila's chopper and convoy.

On Sunday, April 3, the trio appeared at the Rift Valley Regional DCI headquarters to shed light on the attack that saw Raila's chopper damaged as he escaped unhurt.

"They have taken our mobile phones over what they said is to help them in further investigations. We were here to shed more light on the Friday attack, and we have explained ourselves before the detectives,” Daily Nation quoted Kositany.

Sudi claimed the state used the incident to settle political scores arguing Kenya was back to the dark days.
