"Since Declaring Support for Raila, I've Been Peaceful": Kalonzo Musyoka

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed his joy in joining Azimio la Umoja coalition, led by ODM leader Raila Odinga. 

Kalonzo stated that his support for Raila was a political juggernaut that would send Deputy President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza brigade to political oblivion in the August 9 General Election. 

He accused the DP of being jilted after he rejected his overtures and joined Raila's Azimio camp. 

The former vice president said he had found peace in Raila's arms and was just waiting to bask in glory after the polls.

"Since declaring my support, I've been peaceful. From that day, the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya is Raila. This is why Ruto is very angry. They know by our joining in this battle, we are going to win the race. They are very angry! You can't be a leader with such a temperament," said Kalonzo. 

In his campaign tour to Mwingi, Kitui County on March 31, the deputy president urged Kalonzo to dumb Raila and join him in the Kenya Kwanza coalition.

Ruto argued that Kalonzo is not respected in Azimio and should seek him for a deal to work together.
