Vihiga Senator Khaniri Rules out Supporting Mudavadi

Vihiga senator George Khaniri has vowed to continue with his unwavering support for Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga’s presidential bid. 

Speaking to Busali residents in Sabatia on Sunday, April 3, Khaniri mobilised the electorates to vote for Raila. 

The constituency is Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi's backyard.

Khaniri declared that he will vote for Raila, adding that the former premier is a revolutionist of democracy and liberation of Kenya. 

“I will honestly vote for Raila as my president because he is a man who has so much invested in democracy and equality,” said Khaniri.

The senator urged the residents to rally behind Azimio and ignore the Kenya Kwanza coalition led by Deputy President William Ruto, Mudavadi and FORD Kenya leader Senator Moses Wetangula. 

Mudavadi and Wetangula 'tied the knot' with the deputy president forming the Kenya Kwanza coalition in February 2022.

The duo have vowed to mobilise voters from the western region to support Ruto in his bid to the 2022 presidential election.
