Rachel Ruto Woos Women to Support William Ruto's Bid

Mama Rachel Ruto has called on the Kenyan women fraternity to rally behind her husband William Ruto and support his presidential bid. 

The deputy president will be making his first attempt at the presidency in the August 9 General Election.

Even as Ruto traverses the country to marshal support for his bid, his wife has also joined the campaign terrain to woo the electorate towards her husband's presidential candidature. 

Interacting with residents and women of Nanyuki, Laikipia county, on Thursday, April 7, Rachel vouched for a Ruto presidency which she said would accommodate the interests of women.

She was in the county to preside over a function organised by the Joyful Women Organization (JOYWO) of which she is the patron. 

"We all know what is coming up in August, as the wife to Kenya's deputy president, I want to stand here to beg for your votes on his behalf. I want to urge all women to rally behind him and vote the UDA party," she said.
