Woman Who Coined Uhuru "Maliza Uende Slogan" Ditches UDA for Jubilee

Nyeri top blogger Maggie Sonnie who coined "maliza uende" phrase has ditched Deputy President William Ruto’s camp for Jubilee Party. 

Sonnie is a strong grassroots mobiliser who has been a thorn in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration for the better part of Jubilee second term. 

Her move to join the ruling party is a blow to Ruto’s grassroots team in Nyeri which has been waning since the Jubilee party was revamped. 

Sonnie was received at Jubilee Party headquarters by Kieni MP Kanini Kega who also doubles up as the party’s Elections director.

“I’m excited to be part of this team and I pledge my loyalty. I have been in the cold and I can now feel the warmth,” said Sonnie.

The hard-hitting blogger was accompanied by 10 other influencers who also joined the ruling party on Friday.

Speaking after reception, Kega commended the new for the bold and selfish move to join Jubilee party and promised to include them in the Azimio team.
