Hon. Charity Kathambi Chepkwony is the first female member of parliament for Njoro Constituency. She made her debut in politics running for parliament in Njoro in 2013, where she finished second.

But she was not deterred  by her lose in 2013 polls. She strategized and came with more expertize and experience and she emerged the winner in 2017 electons and she became member of Parliament Njoro Constituency.
