  • Moot rural water reticulation systems where feasible in order to enhance access to potable water by rural communities
  • Promote roof catchment and water harvesting
  • Promote the use of bio digester technology in sanitation and water recycling
  • Invest in a study and mapping of our urban centers and markets for purposes of initiating development of a modern sewarage disposal system
  • Enhance the conservation of our water catchment areas and sources as well as the protection of natural water springs, riparian areas and wetlands
  • Expand and rehabilitate existing piped water supply schemes and protection of various water springs
  • Ensure supply of clean and reliable water to households from the Vihiga Water Cluster program and from other County water schemes
