High Dependance unit at BCRH

To strengthen Emergency preparedness &  response for improved treatment outcomes

Will act as a teaching facility to 250 medical students of different cadres undertaking practicals

Create business for local health product suppliers as demand for those products will have increased

100 staff targeted to launch service at the facility will benefit from specialized training. Short and long term to be able to effectively run the unit.

Ultra Sound services at Kocholia Sub-County Hospital

CT Scan Services at BCR

Maternity and Newborn unit

  • To mitigate against maternal & Neonatal deaths, decongest the current maternity
  • Staff deployed to the unit to benefit from additional training

Specialized Mother and Child Hospital

- Increased utilization of health facilities thus an improved healthy population,

-Reduced maternal mortality.

-Reduced neonatal mortality

-Increased access to reproductive health services for women and uptake of family planning

-Scale up Education, Training and Retention of health professionals in the county who currently look for training and attachment opportunities beyond the county

-Maintain a close link to the utilization and management of community and mid-level health professionals through the outreach programmes 

-Increased revenue collection for sustainability
