Governor Wisley Rotich pledges on Transport and Public Work
H.E Deputy Governor Prof. Grace Cheserek joined the Tambach Community, Keiyo North Sub County in presiding over a clean energy initiative at Moi Tambach Primary School.
The school partnered with Equity Bank to implement a Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) project for the school’s dining hall.
Speaking at the school when he represented H.E Governor Wisley Rotich, Prof. Cheserek applauded the school for embracing clean energy saying it would greatly conserve the environment.
“You are number one in the County in academic performance and management now you are number one in going green, congratulations,” she said.
The Deputy Governor said thousands of acres of trees are felled yearly for wood fuel used in boarding schools.
“This has contributed much to the degradation of the environment. We want to urge other schools to reverse this trend and emulate Moi Tambach,” she said.
