                LIVESTOCK

  • Formulation and implementation of livestock sub-sector policies;
  • Management and control of livestock diseases and pests;
  • Provision and facilitation of extension services;
  • Development and co-ordination of livestock development programmes
  • Regulatory management and quality control of inputs, produce and products
  • Management and conservation of natural resource base
  • Collecting, maintaining and managing information on Livestock.

FISHERIES

  • Formulation and implementation of fisheries sub-sector policies;
  • Provision and facilitation of fisheries extension services
  • Commercialization including promotion and formation of fisheries groups/ associations
  • Promotion of fish quality assurance, value addition and marketing
  • Development of aquaculture
  • Collecting, maintaining and managing information on Fisheries
