Governor Fernandes Barasa Pledges On Good Governance

  • Create Kakamega Leadership Caucus of elected Leaders, National Government officials and private sector players to address cross cutting issues such as security, investment and progressive development.
  • Entrenching and strengthening devolution up to the village levels and further creating a strong working relationship with the National Coordination at the levels.
  • Reestablish the WARD FUND and stregnthen its capacity to devolve funds to the WARDS, identify and implement key projects and programmes and fast track development in all the 60 Wards
  • Ensure at least one flagship project per year per ward in all our 60 Wards
  • Establishe a County Patriotic Youth Program to engage Form 4 Leavers for 3 months volunteers service at the County, and further facilitate international exchange programmes for students at all levels.
  • Capacity building the County Staff and all Ward committee members.
  • Empower each household by supporting CBOs and each member to access grants
