Governor Gideon Mung'aro Pledges On Agricultural Transformation Plan

Mung’aro wa Kilifi Agricultural Transformation Plan will seek to turn agriculture into a
profitable and lucrative venture. It will not only focus on increased agricultural productivity
but also in seeking local and international markets for agricultural produce. It will seek to
revive the dwindling agricultural sector by establishing local value-addition plants and other
production and marketing mechanisms. It will enhance the use of irrigation to guarantee
productivity in dry areas and reduce reliance on rain fed agriculture.
