Governor Paul Simba Arati Promises to Enhance Social Development

In Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE), Vocational training, Village Polytechnics and Home craft through infrastructure development, equipping the centres with modern state-of-the-art facilities; hiring highly qualified and motivated tutors on improved terms of service.

Promote access to secondary and tertiary education through a reformed County Bursary Scheme; Innovation and skills development in our vocational centres, academic performance in our schools and promotion of social human capital through empowerment programs targeting youths, women.

Provision of superior Universal Healthcare Services will be an exigency in our administration. We shall invest substantially in diagnostic, preventive, and curative measures by equipping our hospitals and health facilities with modern medical equipment and essential medicines.

Hiring and training of professional healthcare givers and digitalization of all processes and procedures will be a priority. Provision of clean, safe and reliable water for domestic, urban, agricultural and industrial use will be a priority.

Similarly, we will pursue enhanced social protection programs notably the Simba Shelter Scheme that will be delivering reliable rural housing schemes and eliminating completely grass thatched houses and dilapidated structures.

My administration shall also establish new urban housing schemes for urban populace in addition to an effective social welfare program for the elderly. Talent development through promotion of sports, culture and arts, Rehabilitation & Rescue programmes for the vulnerable and Skills Development Centres for the destitute and homeless will also be given prominence in my administration.
