Governor Mohamed Adan Khalif Pledges Wealth Creation

In the next five years, my Government shall:

  • Establish a directorate under the Ministry of Trade and Industry exclusively responsible for researching, collating, and disseminating information related to agricultural and livestock products value addition.
  • Provide training and study visits opportunities for community groups (especially women and youth) to learn agricultural and livestock value addition.
  • Prioritise investment in enterprises with the potential to add value to Mandera County products and create jobs.
  • Establish Mandera County Development Authority, to mobilize resources locally, nationally and internationally, and invest in growth-oriented industries in the County.
  • Develop a Public-Private Partnerships Framework and engage local, national and international companies, institutions and individuals to invest in County. infrastructure and specific growthoriented industries with job creation potential.
