Governor Ochilo Ayacko Pledges On Health Services

The Health Services department helps the County in developing county health services, including the management of health facilities and pharmacies at the county level, ambulance services;
promotion of primary health care, provision of community health services; provision of health education; and implementation of preventative health programmes including vector control.

 

Mandate

  • County health services including; County health facilities and pharmacies; Ambulance services; Promotion of primary healthcare;
  • Licensing and control of undertakings that sell food to the public;
  • Cemeteries, funeral parlours and crematoria;
  • Control of drugs and pornography

  • To improve equitable access to health services.
  • To improve quality and responsiveness of health services.
  • To improve efficiency of health services.
  • To foster partnerships.
  • To improve financing of health services.
  • To enable implementation Workload Indicator for Staffing Needs (WISN)
