"Devolution was created as part of the overall framework to involve our people in matters that concern them after the realization of the sectarian development right from independence. After ten years of this experiment, it has come to our attention that the real fruits of devolution can only be realized when participatory planning and prudent management of resources is undertaken by sons and daughters of the country under the able stewardship of a steady captain. Siaya’s potential as an academic giant with the highly trained human resource have all it takes to be the best managed county in the country."

What We Promised to do Under Six Under Months

 

1. Drugs in all health facilities.

2. Lighting and basic hygiene infrastructure in all our markets.

3. Safety and patrol boats manning all our beaches.

4. A CGS tractor available for subsidized land preparation in every sub county, to scale down to wards later (we currently have 10 serviceable tractors)

6. School feeding programme in all our 700 public ECDs Input subsidies on certified seeds, feeds, pesticides, acaricides, manure and fertilizers.

7. Full scholarship for 60 Students- 2 per Ward under the Governor's Scholarships programme.

8. Water harvesting infrastructure to 150 vulnerable households -5 per ward. 

9. Cascading Agricultural Extension officers at Ward level Develop a world- class public service delivery charter with attention to efficiency, impact, hospitality and ownership.
