  • Carry out a household audit to identify senior citizens (65 years old and above) and other vulnerable citizens who cannot afford to pay for any medical insurance and institute a scheme for them to access NHIF cover.
  • Acquire 5 more ambulances to enhance emergency medical services
  • Complete and operationalise the County Blood Transfusion Centre
  • Recruit more health personnel to offer services in the newly opened facilities
  • Complete and operationalise the incinerator facilities for medical waste disposa
  • Complete the renovation and facelift of the existing VCRH
  • Improve healthcare, and supporting infrastructure, as well as consistent supply of health commodities and equipment
  • Maintain prioritization of Public Healthcare as the foundation of our County’s healthcare systems
  • Recruit more CHVs and implement the Vihiga Community Health Act to safeguard & protect their interests and welfare
  • Invest in Solar power systems for all our health facilities and ensure that all health services continue uninterrupted
  • Ensure all health facilities have reliable supply of water
