Who We Are

We are a membership organization that inspires individual change makers, youth empowerment initiatives, women groups to share their positive stories in various sectors in order to transform lives across Kenya. We strongly believe that every individual is a leader in their own sphere of influence.

Through documenting stories of change; we capture the aspirations, the spirit of collectivism and collaborations of young people and organizations across Kenya. We uphold the Do No Harm Principle. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national heritage, or gender.

We work with team members to bring about innovative solutions to our problems. Though we volunteer, we have created Opportunities through our Resource Centre Hub, Innovative ecommerce Solutions mybigorder.com , an Online Networking Page, FundMe Page, our MLKTV Studio & a host of unmatched Digital Marketing Solutions through our broad countrywide membership network.

Our History

2012 – My Leader Kenya was born as an Election Campaign Portal for people vying for Elections. It was then called “My Aspirant My Leader", Featured on Daily Nation.

2017 – We stood as a Technology for Elections during the 2017 elections. Featured on KTN, Citizen TV, NTV

2018/9 – Renamed to My Leader Kenya and now opens up to 9 thematic areas with key focus on telling stories and creating a networking platform for young people. My Leader Kenya opens its membership to the public and open nominations starts to fill positions.

Our Secretariat

The Secretariat involves a team stationed at the MLK head office tasked with documentation, media planning and other related roles.

We believe good ideas can come from anyone, anywhere, at any time. We want team members with diverse backgrounds and life experiences to help us find innovative solutions to problems. Every single person there is smart, creative and fun. .
