Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed opened the Luncheon of the Science and Research Symposium- Sustainable Blue Economy which took place the University of Nairobi.
During her speech she highlighted the importance of including policies that revolve around Science, Technology and Innovation in sustainable development.
“Robust and sustained scientific research can contribute to our economic development. Partnerships, especially those that are being harnessed at the #BlueEconomyConference2018, are a positive step towards twinning science with our economies,” she stated.
She went on to her express her optimism of the conference as well as the opportunities it will create.
