Nairobi governor Mike Sonko officiated the construction of the Kihumbuini Stadium in Kangemi, Westlands Constituency.
The stadium is one of may new state-of-the-art stadiums which the governor promised to deliver during his campaign.
According to the Nairobi governor the initiative will is key to developing and nurturing talents of our youth.
Other stadiums currently under construction include the new Sonko Dandora stadium which is set to be unveiled this December, along with Woodley and Jacaranda stadiums which will be receiving upgrades.
Construction of another state-of-the-art stadium begins in Nairobi.This afternoon I’m officiating over the ground breaking ceremony for construction of the state-of-the-art Kihumbuini Stadium in Kangemi, Westlands Constituency.The construction of the ultra modern stadium is in line with my campaign pledge to improve Nairobi’s sports infrastructure in order to develop and nurture talents of our youth.Already construction of the new Sonko Dandora stadium is near completion and the facility is set to be unveiled this December. Other stadiums set for upgrade include Woodley and Jacaranda stadiums.
