William Ruto Welcomes Uhuru’s Media Ally Njogu Wa Njoroge to UDA, Assures Him of Free and Fair Nominations

Deputy President William Ruto has welcomed President Uhuru Kenyatta's media ally Njogu Wa Njoroge to his United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Njoroge is a Kameme FM radio presenter under Mediamax Limited, a media house associated with the head of state.

"Competitive political participation is key to our democracy. It is fulfilling to see more people including our friends in the media like @njogunjoroge1 take their rightful position to be part of the conversation," Ruto wrote on his official Twitter handle after receiving Njoroge.

The second in command also assured all aspirants seeking to vie for various political seats in the August 9 polls of free, fair and democratic nominations.

With Ruto to welcome Njoroge to the political outfit were Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa and his Kiharu counterpart Ndindi Nyoro.

"There is time for everything, as the good book of the Lord says, and as I transition to the next phase of my life, I ask for your prayers and support," Njoroge wrote on his official Facebook page after joining Ruto's camp.

He said he had assured Ruto that he would work with him in the UDA party to spread the message of the bottom-up economic model in the Njoro constituency, where he is seeking the people's mandate to represent them in the National Assembly.
