Wamuyu was born in Tetu Constituency. She attended Temple Road Primary School and later joined Bishop Gatimu Girls’ High School where she sat for her secondary examinations. She proceeded to the University of Nairobi where she graduated with a Degree in Geology. Wamuyu also holds a Masters in Environmental Engineering and professional qualifications a lead expert on Environmental Impact Assessment.
