Amos Mpusia Maayiai

As of August 2026, Hon. Amos Mpusia Maayiai is a young, focused, and development-oriented Kenyan politician serving as the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Purko Ward in Kajiado Central, Kajiado County. A graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management (Accounting) from the University of Nairobi, Mpusia built his early leadership profile as the Chairman of the Purko Youth Association and through his work with COTU. Backed heavily by the local youth and "Gen-Z" demographic, he achieved a historic political victory on November 27, 2025, under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, reclaiming the seat exactly 32 years after his late father held the very same office. Since stepping into the Kajiado County Assembly, Hon. Mpusia has gained prominence for his proactive, sober-minded governance; this is highlighted by his recent legislative interventions to demand strict accountability over irregular public land subdivisions and the protection of crucial water catchment areas within Purko Ward.
