About Bernadette Muyomi
Bernadette Muyomi is an award-winning social justice advocate, gender expert, and multi-disciplinary practitioner with over 15 years of experience spanning international development, civil society, and local governance. She holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Disability Rights and Development Studies, and is currently a PhD Candidate in Diplomacy and Global Affairs. Her career includes executing high-impact social inclusion projects for major global organizations—such as ActionAid, Tearfund UK, and the Palladium Group—and she is the founder of the African Grassroots Development Organization, an NGO protecting vulnerable populations. In local administration, she notably served as a County Executive Committee Member (CECM / County Minister) during the inaugural Busia County government tenure (2013–2017). Ahead of the 2027 general elections, she has aggressively mobilized a grassroots, women-led campaign machinery dubbed "Senator Ni Mama" targeting the Busia Senatorial seat, where her platform prioritizes rigorous oversight, accountable devolution funding, and institutional healthcare updates.
