Brighton Leonard Yegon

Hon. Brighton Leonard Yegon, CBS, is a prominent Kenyan politician currently serving his second term as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Konoin Constituency in Bomet County. Re-elected in 2022 on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, Yegon has earned national recognition for his strong focus on local infrastructure, effective bursary management, and active participation in the Departmental Committee on Agriculture and Livestock. Before entering national politics in 2017, he built an extensive career in academia as an assistant registrar and lecturer, holding degrees in information sciences and records management from Moi University and Kenyatta University. Widely regarded as a top-performing lawmaker within the South Rift region, Yegon has officially declared his bid to seek a third consecutive term representing Konoin in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
