David Kinyua Wangui

Hon. David Kinyua Wangui, popularly referred to as Kawangui, is a Kenyan politician and the Member of the County Assembly (MCA) for Mutira Ward in Kirinyaga County. He was elected to represent Mutira Ward and has served in the Kirinyaga County Assembly for several terms. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Chemistry from Kenyatta University. He has previously served as Leader of Majority and has chaired the Assembly’s Legal Affairs and Delegated County Legislation Committee. He has also been involved in significant county governance matters, including the 2020 impeachment motion against then-Governor Anne Waiguru. The official Kirinyaga County Assembly profile identifies him as the MCA for Mutira Ward and states that he was elected on a UDA ticket.
