Dr. Omar Jibril Mohamed

Dr. Omar Jibril Mohamed is a Kenyan professional and political aspirant from Mandera County who has officially declared his intention to contest for the Mandera North Member of Parliament seat in the 2027 General Elections. He has more than two decades of experience in disaster management, public health, humanitarian coordination and sustainable development, and has previously worked with government and international organisations. His priorities for Mandera North include improving healthcare, access to clean water and education, strengthening peace and cohesion, and building resilience against drought. He holds qualifications in disaster management, counselling psychology and community health nursing and is pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
