Dr. Rebecca Lomong’

Dr. Rebecca Arupe Lomong Rutto is a prominent Kenyan academic, public servant, and political leader from Baringo County who currently serves as a member of the national Task Force on the Incorporation and Institutional Transformation of the Public Trustee Department. She made history in December 2023 by becoming the first person from the Pokot community in Tiaty sub-county to earn a PhD, graduating from Kisii University with a doctorate in Gender and Development Studies.
